Product description

Franz-Albrecht zu Oettingen-Spielberg – Hunting Tradition Meets Modern Practice

Franz-Albrecht zu Oettingen-Spielberg, born in 1982 in Munich, comes from the long-established noble family of Oettingen-Spielberg. He was introduced to hunting at an early age by his father, a passionate hunter and successful Olympic Trap shooter. From a young age, Franz-Albrecht developed remarkable shooting skills and a deep understanding of hunting practice.

His great passion is driven hunting, especially for wild boar. With his exceptional shooting technique, strong instinct for game, and clear commitment to ethical hunting, he has earned an outstanding reputation among hunters across Europe. Today, he is regarded as one of Europe’s most skilled and respected hunters, combining traditional hunting values with modern practical experience.

His hunting passion is closely connected to the five main species of European big game: red deer, fallow deer, mouflon, wild boar, and roe deer.

This model is perfectly suited for demanding red deer hunting. Its robust construction ensures reliable handling, while the balanced design allows precise cuts. Developed for clean and efficient work on larger game, the PUMA “rotwild” reflects the essential requirement of a hunting knife: stability.

This principle has been consistently implemented in the PUMA “rotwild” knife. The result is a heavy-duty hunting all-rounder with a strong, flat-ground blade. Its full-tang construction extends through the entire handle and is fitted with voluminous stag horn scales. A solid nickel silver guard provides reliable hand protection. These features make the “rotwild” model suitable for heavier cutting tasks and a dependable companion in demanding hunting situations.

With this exceptional Franz-Albrecht zu Oettingen-Spielberg (FAOS) Edition, you receive the PUMA “rotwild” knife together with a cognac-colored leather sheath. The back of the main blade features the FAOS logo as well as the individual serial number of the knife.

The knives are consecutively numbered. Numbers are assigned in the order in which orders are received; therefore, it is not possible to select a specific number.

As natural materials are used in the production of this knife, variations in color, structure, and appearance may occur. The product delivered may therefore differ slightly from the knife shown in the images.
