Why are so many knives unavailable? Are they still being manufactured?
Due to high demand, delivery times for some models, especially PUMA items manufactured in Solingen, are particularly long. We can only release the item in our webshop once all dealer and pre-orders have been completed.
Items bearing the note: " This item is sold out and will no longer be manufactured in the future!" will no longer be offered in the future.

I signed up for email notifications and received an email saying the item was back in stock. However, when I clicked the link/viewed the item, it was unavailable again.
This is because we only released a small quantity and due to high demand, several people received this notification and have already ordered the available quantity.

When was my Puma knife manufactured?
Is there a 5-digit number stamped on your Puma knife? On fixed-blade knives, this number is located on the handle; on folding Puma knives, it's on the side of the spring. Found it? If so, enter the 5-digit number in the text field below.
Is there a 3-digit number etched on your Puma knife? For example, 105 RC? If so, enter the 3-digit number "105" in the text field below.
Is a 2-digit number Etched on your Puma knife? For example, 07 RC , then enter the 2-digit number "07" in the text field below. This knife was manufactured in 2007.
RC means that the knife has been tested for Rockwell hardness.

Can my Puma knife still be repaired?
With a fixed-blade Puma knife, we cannot replace the blade, as this would be equivalent to manufacturing a new one. If the tip of the blade is broken or the blade has nicks, it can be resharpened. With most folding Puma knives, the parts (e.g., blade, saw, corkscrew, etc.) can be replaced. Multi-piece Puma hunting knives, such as the 943 and 945, can only be repaired if they were manufactured after 1990. At that time, the blades and springs were changed, and unfortunately, the new parts no longer fit the older models. There are also no remaining stocks of the old blades and springs. Of course, refurbishing your Puma knife (cleaning, sharpening, honing) is always possible.

Why is there a small hole in my knife blade?
This is the so-called "Rockwell point." Almost all Puma knives are tested for hardness according to the Rockwell C system. For this test, a diamond point is pressed into the blade under a defined load, and the penetration depth is measured. The measured value indicates the hardness of the steel.
Is it true that Puma knives have a lifetime guarantee?
In Germany, it is not legally permitted to offer a lifetime warranty. Please note the point below. Warranty .
Can I get replacement parts for my Puma knife?
We generally do not sell individual parts such as blades, springs, scales, etc., which are essential components of a knife. Due to warranty requirements, every Puma knife must be repaired in-house. Exceptions are the screws for Puma knives with screwed-on metal handles and inlays that are glued into the handle scales. Replacement sheaths are also available from us, if they are available for your specific Puma knife.
How much does a custom laser engraving cost?
With our laser engraving configurator, you can choose from 10 different fonts. You have the option of personalizing your knife with your desired text, such as your name or signature. Laser engraving also makes a wonderful and unique gift idea. This is available for just €19.95 (gross) . We can also laser-engrave logos onto blades.
