The main blade made of stainless molybdenum-vanadium steel (57–58 HRC) is sharp, corrosion-resistant, and suitable for long-term use in the field. The back-lock mechanism secures the blade safely under load. The integrated saw (85 mm, 45 mm serration) and the gutting blade (70 mm) complete the knife as a three-blade hunting tool. The glow-in-the-dark acrylic handle scales glow in the dark — for quick retrieval in low light.

Every knife receives an individual, consecutive serial number — a collector's item with sentimental value.

Frequently asked questions

How do I maintain the blades of the GEARTESTER knife?

After use in the field, wipe the blades dry and, if necessary, lightly coat them with a neutral blade oil. The molybdenum-vanadium steel is stainless, but benefits from regular maintenance. For sharpening, we recommend a fine-grained whetstone or our PUMA TEC knife sharpener SharpGo. Further tips can be found on our Care & Sharpening page.

Am I allowed to carry the knife openly in Germany?

The GEARTESTER knife is a folding knife with a blade length of 84 mm and a back-lock mechanism. Folding knives with a locking blade fall under §42a of the German Weapons Act (WaffG) — carrying them in public without a justified interest is not permitted. When used for hunting, the knife is considered hunting equipment. For questions regarding the legal situation, we recommend checking the relevant national regulations or consulting a legal expert.

Is there a warranty on the GEARTESTER knife?

Yes — PUMA provides a 5-year warranty on material and manufacturing defects for all knives of its own production. Additionally, we offer a repair & refurbishment service. The individual serial number makes identification easier in the event of a service request.

Can the knife be engraved?
