Product description
PUMA white hunter – version with buffalo horn
The "white hunter" model is an ultimate classic with a universal blade that has been tried and tested for decades to meet the highest demands – Handmade in Solingen.
Developed in 1956 for the East African Hunting Association (EAPHA), the PUMA "White Hunter" quickly became known worldwide as the ultimate outdoor knife and is now considered an extremely popular classic. Its blade shape is meticulously designed and effortlessly meets all conceivable requirements.
The sturdy tip is robust enough to open cans or pry open bottle caps. A hatchet edge is ground into the center of the blade's spine, ideal for rough work such as splitting firewood or chopping bones. Additionally, the blade features practical serrations at the rear for cutting green branches, fish skin, or similar materials with a tough surface.
This classic version of the model features select buffalo horn scales, firmly riveted to the tang that extends fully through the handle. With all these attributes, the original "White Hunter" is an innovative knife that remains unparalleled to this day.
Another highlight of the White Hunter buffalo version is the beautiful laser engraving on the blade. The knives are numbered sequentially. Numbers are assigned upon receipt of order; therefore, selecting a specific number is not possible.
Learn more about the White Hunter story
Since we process natural products, visual differences between the knife image and the original are possible.
Buffalo horn is a unique material, predominantly dark brown in color, but it can also exhibit white and gray patterns, with mineralization being the decisive factor in determining the color. The grain also varies between animals and can reveal new structures when deeper layers are worked. It can be worked similarly to wood – by carving, sawing, grinding, and polishing.
