Product description

The 3 cm wide and almost 15 cm long blade of the small "chef's knife" is suitable for many cutting tasks. This versatile kitchen knife is very handy and lightweight, allowing for fatigue-free work, even when processing larger quantities.

The chef's knives from the PUMA IP series are based on a design by the German knifemaker and author of specialist books, Ernst Siebeneicher-Hellwig, and combine high Japanese blade quality with the advantages of a modern design.
Each knife is crafted with the utmost care from the finest materials. The blade features 67 layers of stainless steel, with a core of Japanese V-Gold No. 10 high-carbon stainless steel (VG10). This is an exceptionally hard and edge-retaining steel. The layers on top of the VG10 core consist of 33 layers per side, alternating between Japanese SUS 430 and SUS 431 steels. The blade is ice-hardened to approximately 60 HRC and boasts outstanding edge retention, ensuring the knife stays sharp for an extended period.
The handle is crafted from warp-resistant Pakkawood. Thanks to these qualities and the high-quality workmanship, each knife is perfectly suited for all cutting tasks in the kitchen. Furthermore, the functional handle-blade design ensures comfortable handling of all PUMA IP chef's knives. To ensure you enjoy your knife for as long as possible, always store this high-quality cutting tool on a knife block or in its packaging and please follow the care instructions included with each knife.
