The "frischling" model belongs to the traditionally crafted traditional costume knives (Trachtennicker) and is therefore a typical German knife – from PUMA Solingen.
The PUMA "frischling" is a classic Nicker made of forged stainless steel. In German-speaking countries, this popular shape is also often used as a traditional costume knife for the purpose of regional customs. The traditionally designed Nicker is forged with a hand guard and features a tang, on which a non-slip staghorn handle with an end cap is mounted. Regardless of whether it is used as a hunting or traditional costume knife... the Nicker has been in our pattern books for well over a hundred years and will certainly retain its status as a "typical German knife" in the future.
