The original PUMA “extension knife” has been one of the most sought-after rarities for decades and is now available again.
With great passion and dedication, we have been crafting top-quality hunting knives for over two and a half centuries. Many PUMA knives have become true classics and are among the rarities sought after not only by users but especially by collectors. One of these special models is our "extension knife," which we produced from the 1930s to the 1950s. We have now decided to reissue this model, also known as the "wild boar digger" due to its original purpose.
The new PUMA extension knife features a 19 cm (7.5 in) folding blade made of 440C stainless steel (57–58 HRC). When folded, the blade extends well beyond the end of the handle, making it suitable for more delicate tasks. The movable guard ("Swing Guard") lies flat against the handle and swings forward when the blade is opened, reliably protecting the hand holding the knife – for example, when dispatching game. The extension knife also features a lever that serves as both a locking and unlocking mechanism for the blade, which is adorned with retro lettering. Select staghorn scales and a perfectly fitting leather belt sheath complete this beautifully crafted product.

Compliant with Section 42a of the Weapons Act: The original PUMA "extension knife" is a two-handed utility knife that locks when opened and closed. Therefore, it can be possessed without a permit and may be carried in public without special justification, both open and closed.
