The PUMA SGB Trapper Wood is a classic American-inspired pocket knife with two blades of equal length but different shapes – a clip-point and a Spey blade – made of 1.4116 stainless steel (55–57 HRC). The 90 mm handle is fitted with elegant jacaranda wood scales and polished brass bolsters. As is typical for classic trapper knives, the PUMA SGB Trapper Wood does not have a locking mechanism. Instead, it uses a slip-joint mechanism that holds the blades open using spring pressure, but allows for controlled folding at any time. This makes the knife compliant with § 42a of the German Weapons Act and legal to carry in Germany, as it cannot be opened with one hand and does not have a fixed locking mechanism. The blades are opened using traditional nail nicks, which adds to the knife's nostalgic charm. With a blade length of 71 mm and a weight of approximately 85 g, it is compact, handy and versatile – ideal for outdoor activities, hunting or as a stylish collector's item.
