The SGB line from our overseas subsidiary, “PUMA Knife Company USA,” features many reproductions of classic PUMA models from past decades that we no longer produce in Solingen. We are now offering some of these special pieces to our domestic customers as well. All knives in the SGB series feature blades made of German steel conforming to DIN 1.4116 with a tested hardness of 55–57 HRC!
The PUMA SGB Hunter’s Friend is a reissue of a classic that we first manufactured back in the 1950s. This beautiful drop-point design has proven itself time and again. This model features a blood groove and a slightly beveled blade tip. The handle offers a unique feature: The scales, riveted onto the full-tang flat spine, are made of “jigged bone” (sanded and dyed bovine jawbone with a milled surface texture for a better grip)! This gives the “Hunter's Friend” a particularly harmonious and stylish look. In addition, the handle features a finger guard and brass rivets. The knife can be used in all outdoor activities, such as hunting, fishing, camping, and bushcraft. A high-quality brown leather sheath is included.
