PUMA SGB Buffalo Hunter – Hunting Knife with Clip‑Point & Recurve Blade
PUMA SGB Buffalo Hunter – an exceptional hunting knife for hunters, outdoor enthusiasts, bushcrafters, and collectors. The clip‑point blade with a belly recurve edge extends the effective cutting length. The center of gravity is deliberately forward, providing noticeably more striking power – an advantage over straight blades. The stacked leather handle sits securely and warmly in the hand and gives the knife its distinctive look.
Why this knife convinces
- ✔ More draw & striking power: forward-shifted center of gravity.
- ✔ Versatile blade: classic clip‑point tip, belly edge with elegant recurve profile.
- ✔ Controlled work: precise application, good guidance for field dressing and bushcraft.
- ✔ Comfortable grip: stacked leather handle – grippy, warm, timeless.
- ✔ Easy-care steel: 1.4116, hardened to 55–57 HRC – tough, rust-resistant, easy to resharpen.
- ✔ Leather sheath included: secure transport and quick access.
Note: As we process natural products, visual deviations between the knife image and the originals are possible.
Care & Sharpening
Clean and dry the blade after use. Occasionally care for the leather handle with suitable leather grease. For resharpening, use a fine sharpening steel or stone at an angle of approx. 20°–22°. This ensures the recurve edge remains sharp and effective.
FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions
- Is the recurve edge difficult to sharpen?
- No. With a narrow sharpening stone or ceramic rod, the edge can be easily re-honed. The advantage of the recurve: more effective cutting length in a compact design.
- Is the leather handle high-maintenance?
- Occasional application of leather grease is sufficient. Leather feels pleasantly warm and secure in the hand.
- Who is this knife suitable for?
- For hunters, bushcrafters, and collectors who appreciate precision, style, and robust usability in one knife.
