PUMA SGB Buffalo Hunter – Hunting knife with clip-point and recurve edge

PUMA SGB Buffalo Hunter – an exceptional hunting knife for hunters, outdoor enthusiasts, bushcrafters, and collectors. The clip-point blade with its curved edge extends the effective cutting length. The center of gravity is deliberately positioned forward , resulting in noticeably more striking power – an advantage over straight blades. The layered cowhide leather handle sits securely and warmly in the hand and gives the knife its distinctive look.

Why this knife is so convincing

  • More power and impact: knife center of gravity shifted forward.
  • Versatile blade: classic clip-point tip, convex cutting edge with elegant recurve profile.
  • Controlled work: precise positioning, good guidance when gutting and bushcrafting.
  • Comfortable grip: Handle made of layered cowhide leather – grippy, warm, timeless.
  • Easy-care steel: 1.4116, hardened to 55–57 HRC – tough, rust-resistant, easy to resharpen.
  • Leather sheath included: secure transport and quick access.

Note: Since we process natural products , visual differences between the knife image and the original are possible.

Care & Sharpening

Clean and dry the blade after use. Occasionally condition the leather handle with suitable leather grease. To resharpen, use a fine honing steel or stone at an angle of approximately 20°–22° . This will ensure the recurve edge remains sharp for a long time.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

Is the recurve edge difficult to sharpen?
No. The edge can be easily resharpened with a narrow whetstone or ceramic rod. The advantage of the recurve blade: more effective cutting edge length in a compact design.
Does the leather handle require a lot of maintenance?
An occasional application of leather grease is sufficient. Leather feels pleasantly warm and secure in the hand.
Who is this knife suitable for?
For hunters, bushcrafters and collectors who appreciate precision, style and robust usability in one knife.
