Product description
Craftsmanship and tradition combined:
Over 100 years ago, we were already crafting razors of the highest quality. Then as now, we use only the finest materials. In collaboration with Wacker Razors, we have created 25 exclusive Damascus razors. What makes this collaboration special is that the company's founder, Heribert Wacker, was already crafting razors for us at home in the 1960s and 70s. Heribert Wacker is considered one of the last Solingen razor grinders to have mastered his craft to perfection. These limited-edition razors, made from traditionally produced wild Damascus steel, are vacuum forged. This prevents layer defects and results in Damascus steel of the highest quality. The razor features a pointed spine and is fully hollow ground (1/1 hollow). It boasts the sophisticated traditional Solingen "wall and waist grind." This process transforms a straight razor into a truly "hollow" ground razor, guaranteeing its durability for generations. The blades undergo multi-stage heat treatments and hardening processes, resulting in a remarkably consistent and long-lasting cutting edge for each razor. Buffalo horn was chosen for the handle.
The straight razor comes in a wooden box with a certificate. This exclusive special edition straight razor is limited to 25 razors worldwide. Customers can choose between torsion Damascus and wild Damascus steel.
Details:
- Blade length: 62 mm
- Blade width: 22 mm
- Total length: 242 mm
- Weight: 53 g - Shell: Buffalo horn
- Steel: vacuum-forged Balbach Damascus steel, 240 layers, not stainless, hardness: 62-63 HRC
Please note: Buffalo horn is a natural product and is subject to natural variations in color and texture. This makes each handle unique. The razors are meticulously handcrafted using time-honored Solingen manufacturing methods on machines over 110 years old. Between 80 and 100 steps are required to produce a single razor. This is how a razor with "soul" is created.
