Product description
Craftsmanship and Tradition Combined:
Over 100 years ago, we were already producing razors of the highest quality. Then, as now, we only use the finest materials. In collaboration with Wacker-Rasiermesser, 25 exclusive Damascus razors have been created. What's special about this cooperation is that senior manager Heribert Wacker already produced razors for us at home in the 1960s and 1970s. Heribert Wacker is considered one of the last Solingen razor grinders who masters his craft to perfection. The limited edition razors, made from traditionally produced wild Damascus or torsion Damascus, are vacuum-forged. This prevents faulty layer welding, resulting in a Damascus steel of the highest quality. The razor features a "pointed spine" and is fully hollow ground (1/1 hollow). It boasts the sophisticated traditional Solingen "Wall & Waist grind," which is what truly makes a razor "hollow ground" and guarantees longevity across generations. The blades have undergone multi-stage heat treatments and hardening processes. This gives each razor a very uniform and consistent cutting ability. Buffalo horn was chosen for the handle.
The razor comes in an elegant, black wooden gift box with a certificate. This exclusive special edition razor is limited to 25 pieces worldwide. You can choose between torsion Damascus and wild Damascus.
Details:
- Blade length: 62 mm
- Blade width: 22 mm
- Overall length: 242 mm
- Weight: 53 g - Handle: Buffalo horn
- Steel: vacuum-forged Balbach Damascus with 240 layers, not rustproof, hardness: 62 – 63 HRC
Please note: Buffalo horn is a natural product and is subject to natural color variations and textures. This makes each handle unique. The razors are meticulously handcrafted according to old, proven Solingen manufacturing processes on machines over 110 years old. 80-100 work steps are necessary to produce a razor, resulting in a knife with a "soul."
