Product description

A Piece of Deployment History

The blade of the PUMA Annual Knife 2023 is inspired by the legendary PUMA 6390 Auto Knife – a knife once manufactured for the Federal Airport Fire Departments. For this purpose, PUMA produced between 1,000 and 2,000 units with a special hook blade on the spine: a cutting hook with a seatbelt cutter grind, specially developed for quickly cutting through seatbelts and ropes in emergency situations. Production of this legendary cutting knife ceased more than 50 years ago – but its DNA lives on in the 2023 Annual Knife. The distinctive cutting hook on the blade spine is directly modeled after this historical example and makes the 2023 Annual Knife not only a collector's item but also a functional legacy of one of the most fascinating chapters in Solingen knife history.

PUMA Annual Knife 2023 – Hand-forged collector's item in a limited edition

The PUMA Annual Knife 2023 is the result of over 255 years of Solingen knife tradition, handcrafted with the highest precision, limited to 50 numbered pieces worldwide, and created for those who know and appreciate the difference between a knife and a true collector's item.

The Blade – Forged in Solingen

The blade of the PUMA Annual Knife 2023 is hand-forged using traditional Solingen knife-making artistry – a process rarely used in modern mass production. Forging shapes and compacts the steel under great heat, which gives the blade a superior material structure, exceptional sharpness, and a striking, lively appearance.

The result is a blade that is not only functionally impressive but also visually appealing – with the unmistakable character of a handcrafted unique piece.

The Handle – Noble Walnut Wood

The handle made of fine walnut wood is the perfect counterbalance to the powerful blade. Walnut is one of the most noble wood types – known for its warm, chocolate-brown tone, fine grain, and natural strength.

Since natural wood is always unique, each of the 50 pieces has its own distinctive character. No two 2023 Annual Knives are alike – each is an original.

The ergonomic shape of the handle ensures not only an elegant appearance but also a secure, comfortable grip, whether in daily use or in a display case.

Limited – Only 50 pieces worldwide

The PUMA Annual Knife 2023 is limited to only 50 numbered pieces worldwide. Each knife bears its individual number and comes with a certificate of authenticity – a guarantee of exclusivity and long-term collector's value.

Anyone who owns one of these knives holds not just an extraordinary cutting tool, but a piece of Solingen knife-making history.
