Product description
The design of the new "Rüdemann" dispatching knife from our IP series comes from Philipp Tassius, whose great-uncle Walter Tassius, a forester and bloodhound handler, developed the original "PUMA Rüdemann" back in 1975. The goal of this modernized development was to incorporate the changes into the designs that meet the current demands of hunting in areas with high wild boar populations. Functionality was paramount, as the knife must feel as if it were one, especially when dealing with the formidable wild boar. It needs to have weight, but not be too heavy, and possess the crucial qualities of stability and sharpness. The blade should not be fully sharpened on both sides. Therefore, only the tip is sharpened on both sides to allow for rapid penetration into the animal's body. The blade length is 19 cm, with an overall knife length of just under 33 cm. The robust blade, which curves in the front third, increases oxygen supply during dispatching and enables a quick dispatch of the animal. The new “rüdemann” comes with a high-quality and perfectly fitting belt sheath made of saddle leather.
