PUMA IP roka – compact hunting knife with well-thought-out ergonomics

The PUMA IP roka is a compact hunting knife developed from actual hunting practice. The inspiration came from Hungary, where professional hunters performed even demanding tasks on large game and hares with surprisingly small knives. This observation led to the requirement to be able to reliably carry out essential field-dressing tasks with a handy, precisely controllable knife.

The roka is neither a classic skinner nor a pure gutting knife. Its strength lies in the balanced combination of blade and handle. This makes it suitable for field dressing, precise cuts, and many tasks during field butchering, as well as serving as a versatile outdoor and everyday knife.

Secure grip and precise control

Although the roka is extremely compact, it sits securely and comfortably in the hand, even for those with large hands. The ergonomic handle shape allows for various grip positions, enabling both fine, controlled cuts with the blade edge facing up or down, as well as powerful tasks.

The specifically positioned thumb rest ensures that pressure can be transferred to the blade in a controlled manner. The shaped ramp on the front of the blade spine supports precise gutting: additional pressure can be applied if necessary without the blade slipping too deep inside uncontrollably.

Handy blade made of 440C steel

The 3.5 mm thick blade made of stainless 440C steel is designed to be compact and easy to handle. The high grind ensures very good cutting properties, while the centered tip allows for precise work. The practical concept was implemented as a prototype by a member of the German Knife Makers Guild and subsequently tested by German professional hunters in the field.

Robust G10 handle scales

The black G10 handle scales attached to the full tang are durable, low-maintenance, and offer a reliable grip even when wet. This makes this version particularly suitable for regular hunting and demanding outdoor use.

The most important advantages

  • Compact hunting knife for gutting, precise cuts, and field butchering
  • Ergonomic handle – secure grip even for large hands
  • Multiple controlled grip positions for fine and powerful tasks
  • Thumb rest and blade ramp for targeted force transmission
  • Handy 440C blade with a high grind
  • High-quality saddle leather belt sheath included
