Product description
The "defender" model was designed in the 1990s by Richard Hehn, one of Germany's most renowned knife makers. We have now re-released this coveted knife as part of a special edition limited to a total of 100 pieces. The blade is made of stainless SuperClean® Balbach Damascus and hardened to 60 HRC. For the handle scales, we chose robust buffalo horn, as well as the particularly elegant ivory substitute material "Elforyn® Super Tusk". Both variants are limited to 50 pieces each. Finely ornamented engravings on the pommel and guard give this handmade collector's knife an additional, elegant touch. It comes in a high-quality wooden gift box including a black saddle leather sheath and certificate.
Since we process natural products, visual deviations between the knife illustration and the originals are possible.
Buffalo horn is a unique material, primarily dark brown in color, but can also have white and gray structures, with mineralization being crucial for the coloration. The grain also differs between animals and can reveal new structures through the processing of deeper layers. It can be worked similarly to wood - by carving, sawing, grinding, and polishing.
