Product description

With Tormek's patented KJ-45 knife centering jig, you can achieve symmetrical bevels with the same angle on both sides, regardless of the blade's thickness or geometry. Whether it's a standard kitchen knife or a thicker, tapered hunting knife, you can expect the same excellent results on both bevels without having to adjust the jig. The KJ-45 knife centering jig is suitable for household, kitchen, craft, hunting, and fishing knives – practically any knife that needs sharpening. Even drawknives and garden shears are no problem.

Why the KJ-45 centering device for knives?

  • Center the knife in the device to achieve maximum symmetry and thus an optimal result.
  • Centers and secures tapered blades.
  • Additional stop for tall knives, such as kitchen cleavers.
  • A slightly convex cutting edge can be formed by moving between the two stops.
  • Robust construction: clamps made of die-cast zinc, stops made of composite material.
  • Perfectly balanced: Most of the weight is distributed across the clamps, enabling a particularly well-balanced grinding process.
  • It glides along the universal support with minimal friction and therefore very smoothly.
  • Compatible with Tormek T-4 and Tormek T-8 as well as older models.

Symmetrical grinding through effective centering

When you clamp a knife into the KJ-45 Knife Centering Jig, the knife is automatically centered in the jig, regardless of its thickness or geometry. This ensures effective centering of all knife thicknesses up to 10 mm. This also centers blades that taper from the spine to the cutting edge. As a result, both cutting edges of the knife are ground symmetrically. Simple setup, flawless results.

Freely movable, reliable hold

Because the KJ-45 centering device for knives rests freely on the universal support with its stop, you can follow the shape of the knife while still relying on the secure hold provided by the universal support. This allows you to perfectly sharpen a wide variety of knives, such as craft knives, butcher knives, and classic chef's knives.
