The "falknerheil2" model is a very special hunting knife, specifically developed for falconry – by PUMA Solingen.
The original PUMA "falknerheil2" model was developed in the early 1970s with the help of experienced falconers, and Horst Niesters in particular. The blade is intended for preparing feed for birds of prey and for dispatching game caught by the raptor. In the middle of the cutting edge is a small, semi-circular notch. It is designed to signal to the falconer that the edge is sharpened from the tip of the blade to this point. The rest of the blade is kept dull to protect the birds of prey. The PUMA falconry knife is very easy to handle and designed to be absolutely practical, making it a reliable companion for falconry.
Since we work with natural products, variations in color and texture are possible - every knife is unique.
