With the patented KJ-45 centering device for knives from Tormek, you can achieve symmetrical cutting bevels with the same angle on both sides, regardless of the thickness and geometry of the blade. Whether it's a conventional kitchen knife or a thicker, tapered hunting knife, you can look forward to the same excellent result on both cutting bevels without having to adjust the jig. The KJ-45 Centering Jig for Knives is suitable for household, chef's, craft as well as hunting and fishing knives - in other words, for practically all knives that need to be sharpened. Draw knives and garden shears are also no problem.
Why use the KJ-45 centering jig for knives?
Centers the knife in the jig for maximum symmetry and thus an optimal result.
Centers and fixes tapered blades.
Additional stop for high knives, such as kitchen cleavers.
By moving between the two stops, a slightly convex cutting edge can be formed.
Robust construction: clamps made of cast zinc, stops made of composite material.
Perfectly balanced: Most of the weight is distributed on the clamps, which allows for a particularly well-balanced grinding process.
Glides along the Universal Support with low friction and thus very smoothly.
Can be used with Tormek T-4 and Tormek T-8 as well as older models.
Symmetrical grinding through effective centering
When you clamp a knife in the KJ-45 Centering Jig for Knives, the knife is automatically centered in the jig regardless of thickness and geometry. This ensures effective centering of all knife thicknesses up to 10 mm. This also centers blades that are thinner from the back to the cutting edge. In this way, both cutting edges of the knife are ground symmetrically. Easy adjustment, flawless result.
Free movement, reliable hold
Since the KJ-45 Centering Device for Knives rests freely on the Universal Support with the fence, you can follow the shape of the knife while still relying on the reliable hold provided by the Universal Support. In this way, the most diverse shapes, such as craft knives, butcher knives and classic chef's knives can be sharpened equally perfectly
