The Puma knives of the new series have
been since decades in the program of
the traditional manufacturer from Solingen,
and can probably be described as classic
hunting knives.
Nevertheless, the series 240 - their
name was given based on the 240 year
anniversary of the brand Puma in 2009
- it may well be considered as new development.
Puma shows once again his permanent
effort to combine traditional, proven
hunting knives with modern design.
The designer and sculptor Heinz-Peter
Knoop has completely modified the models
according to the latest ergonomic knowledge
in cooperation with Puma.
The blades of all knives in the series
are made from sturdy, use orientated
440C-steel |
and have a Rockwell hardness of 57-60
HRC.
The handles of the series 240 have been
redesigned according to latest ergonomic
basic rules. The central area of the
handles fit particularly well to the
hand and corresponds to the natural
finger position. The resulting contact
surface allows for easy implementation
of the traction and pressure forces.
Puma has selected traditional stag horn
as scale material, nickel silver was
used for bolster.
The new Puma hunting knives of the series
240 are classics with a new look, work
tools and design objects alike, traditionally
in Solingen conceived, developed and
manufactured according to highest quality
standards.
