The model "hirschfänger" is a traditional, hunting blank weapon in a practical and modern design - from PUMA Solingen.
The history of our Solingen-based company has been closely linked to the development and manufacture of traditional deer hunters since the 19th century. From the first model from 1876, to the blank weapon created under the direction of Oswald von Frankenberg and Ludwigsdorf in 1960, to the famous Hirschfänger after Ferdinand von Raesfeld, which was added to the range in 2003, the history of this blank hunting weapon at PUMA culminates in the present model "hirschfänger". The blade of this robust weapon is 240 mm long and 5 mm thick. It is sharpened on one side and has a fuller on both sides. The handle has a symmetrical design and is equipped with deer horn scales. The horn has been machined so that the grip allows an optimal hold. The toggle as a connection from the handle to the blade is designed as a classic parry bar and is made of nickel silver like the rear pommel.
The PUMA "hirschfänger" thus belongs to the hunting blank weapons of the latest generation.
