These two EDC knives: Sonic and Mach1 were designed by Bob Carpenter, owner of Puma Knife Company USA. The PUMA SGB Sonic and Mach1 have a high performance blade (1.4116) which can be opened and closed impressively smooth by the ceramic ball bearing. The blades are hardened to a Rockwell hardness of 55-57 and bear the Rockwell test mark. The handles are made of solid 2.7mm carbon fiber shells mounted on a stainless steel frame. The edges of the shells have been CNC machined for added texture and grip. The Sonic model has a classic beveled PUMA clip-point blade, and the SGB Mach1 features a modified drop-point blade. A liner lock secures both blades.
The special thing about the SGB series is that each knife is equipped with German 1.4116 blade steel. So we can guarantee an excellent quality.
