  » When was my Puma knife made?
  Is there a 5-digit number impressed on your Puma knife? It is on the finger guard at Puma fixed blade knives. At Puma folding knives it is on the pushing spring. Found? then you enter the 5-digit number in the text field above.
Is there a 3-digit number etched on your Puma knife? e.g. 105 RC, then you enter the 3-digit number "105" in the text field above.
Is there a 2-digit number etched on your Puma knife? e.g. 07 RC, your Puma knife was made in 2007.

RC = Rockwell C, it means that the knife was tested on its rockwell hardness.
 

  » Can my Puma knife still be repaired?
 

We cannot exchange the blade at fixed blade Puma knif, because this would be the same like making a new knife. If the top of the blade has brocken off or the blade shows gaps, the knife can be resharpened.
At the most Puma folding knives the parts (blade saw.corkscrew...) can be exchanged.
Multisectional Puma hunting pocket-knives like 943 and 945 can only be repaired when they were made after 1990. Blades and springs were altered at that time. unfortunately, the new parts don't fit in the old knives any more. Remaining stocks of the old blades and springs are not available either.

Of course a refurbishing of the knife (cleaning, resharpening) is always possible.

Enclose a letter with your address and description of complaint or your wish. At the guarantee you get the knife back automatically after the repair. At first you receive a cost estimate at repairs with costs, after receipt of the payment the repair is executed and the knife is sent back.

Please understand, we do not accept any shipments that is not prepaid.
 

  » Why is there a tiny dot on the blade of my Puma knife?
  This is the so-called "Rockwell dot". All puma knife is tested on its rockwell hardness according to the system Rockwell C . For this a diamond top is pressed into the blade under a fixed burden and the penetration depth is measured. The stated value determines the hardness of the steel.
 
  » Is this true, that puma knives have a lifelong guarantee?
  In Germany it is not legal to give a lifelong guarantee. Please see the submenu "Warranty" in the menu "Services".
 
  » Can I get spare parts for my Puma knife?
  We don't sell any spare parts like blades, springs or scales which are basic components of a knife. Due to the guarantee every Puma knife must be repaired in our company. Exceptions are screws for Puma knives with screwed metal handles and inlays which are stuck in the scales. You can also purchase substitute sheaths if they are available for your Puma knife.
